We have finally found a version of chocolate chip cookies that are easy to make and compliant with how we are eating; WFPB with no Oil.
This recipe is a modification to this one we found on for Oil Free Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies.
We have tried many different compliant chocolate chip cookies. So far, this is the best one we have made.
- 1/2 cup natural almond butter
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons applesauce
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup white whole wheat pastry flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup chocolate chips
Oven at 375 F.
Mix the almond butter, sugar, applesauce, vanilla in a bowl.
Mix the flour, baking soda and salt in another.
Add dry ingredients to the wet one. Mix.
Add chocolate chips and mix.
Spoon about 1 inch balls of dough on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
Bake in oven for 9 minutes. Trust the time is right. Cool for 10 minutes more. Enjoy!
Makes about 20 cookies.
